West Lothian working with other councils to develop electric vehicle infrastructure

Edinburgh council is the lead local authority in a group which includes immediate neighbours in Falkirk, Mid and East Lothian as well as the Scottish Borders, Dumfries and Galloway, and Fife.



West Lothian is collaborating with seven other councils, led by Edinburgh, to develop a region-wide electric vehicle charging infrastructure plan. The estimated cost for West Lothian is £3.2 million, with potential funding from Transport Scotland. The project aims to address transportation emissions and equalize charging costs.
