When does the new F1 season start? Full 2025 calendar and testing schedule

The 2025 F1 season is scheduled to stage 24 races once again, from March to December

The 2025 F1 season begins on Sunday, March 16, with the first race in Australia, following pre-season testing in Bahrain from February 26 to 28. The season features 24 races, ending on December 7 in Abu Dhabi. Notable changes include the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on July 4-6, Spain moving to late May/early June, and a triple-header in April in Japan, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. No new races are added this year, but Madrid will host the Spanish Grand Prix starting in 2026, potentially making 2025 the last year Barcelona hosts a race.
