Zhao Leji, China's No. 3 official and chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC), was absent from the closing ceremony of the "two sessions" due to a respiratory tract infection, according to his deputy Li Hongzhong. Despite his absence, Zhao's name was mentioned in relation to the NPC's work report, which was affirmed and approved.
