Winter vomiting bug cases to remain high ‘for next number of weeks’

Hundred cases detected in week ending March 16th, the highest weekly total since start of year



Norovirus cases in Ireland are currently high and expected to remain so for several weeks, with 100 cases reported in the week ending March 16th, the highest weekly total this year. The majority of cases are in those over 65. The HPSC reports community levels are higher than expected for this time of year.
