Wishaw Academy Primary kids appeal to dog owners to clean up after their pets

Dog fouling is regularly found on paths and grassy areas around the school where pupils play and walk to and from school.

Wishaw Academy Primary School students are urging dog owners to clean up after their pets, as waste is frequently found near the school, affecting pupils' safety and environment. Joined by Councillor Helen Loughran and local officials, the campaign aims to promote responsibility and a cleaner community. The initiative ties into their pursuit of the Gold Rights Respecting Schools award. Dog fouling is a criminal offense, with fines applicable. Free bags are available, and reports can be made via 0345 143 0015 or the council's website.
