Women's teams in the NCAA Tournament getting individual revenue share for 1st time. What's a 'unit'?

For the first time, women's NCAA Tournament teams will receive individual revenue shares, known as "units," with conferences earning $113,000 per game played by their teams. Units, determined by wins and bids, are paid by the NCAA to conferences from tournament revenue, primarily generated through TV deals and will be used to provide financial rewards to schools.
