In Russia, butter prices accelerated to a 0.2% increase last week. Since the start of the year, butter prices have risen by 2.1%. Other price changes included increases in frozen fish (0.9%), sour cream (0.8%), black tea (0.7%), wheat flour (0.6%), beef, boiled sausages, ultra-pasteurized milk, vodka (0.4%), pasteurized milk, margarine, wheat and rye bread, pasta (0.3%), canned meat for baby food, sunflower oil, cottage cheese, vermicelli, salt (0.2%), cheeses, dry milk mixes, vegetable and fruit preserves for baby food, millet, and cookies (0.1%). Egg prices fell by 1.1%, rice by 0.5%, chicken meat by 0.2%, and mutton by 0.1%. In 2024, food prices in Russia increased by 11.4%, and alcoholic beverages by 8.3%.
