A pure class spice bag: Oxford dictionary adopts new Irish English words

Term for popular takeaway credited to establishment in Templeogue, Dublin

The Oxford English Dictionary has added "spice bag," "morto," "debs," and "ludraman" along with other Hiberno-Irish words and phrases to its latest edition. The dictionary credits the TV show "Derry Girls" with popularizing the phrase "class" (meaning something is great) outside of Ireland. The "spice bag," a takeaway meal originating from a Dublin Chinese restaurant, is defined in detail. Other additions include "grawlix" and the proverb "one has made one’s bed and must lie in it."
