Administrația Trump lucrează la reducerea bugetului Pentagonului, inclusiv al Comandamentului forțelor SUA din Europa
The Trump administration is working to reduce the Pentagon's budget, including cuts to the U.S. military command in Europe, with plans to decrease military spending by tens of billions of dollars annually. This reduction excludes 17 specific sectors within the Pentagon, which are allocated $850 billion in the 2025 budget. The European Command, however, is not exempt from these cuts. The reductions are expected to face strong opposition from Congress and the military, as many lawmakers believe increased defense spending is necessary to counter threats from China and Russia. Meanwhile, President Trump supports a $100 billion increase in defense spending. The administration has also emphasized the need for NATO allies to spend 5% of their GDP on defense, aligning with Trump's and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's priorities.
