Allen Morgan, the husband of murder victim Carol Morgan, has become the focus of a police investigation into her 1981 death. The documentary "The Real Unforgotten," airing on ITV, follows the police team's efforts to solve the case. Allen, who operated a convenience store in Linslade, Bedfordshire, reported his wife's death and was initially suspected of having an affair with Margaret Spooner. Despite attempts to clear his name, he became a primary suspect in 2018 when cold case investigator Det Supt Carl Foster reopened the case. Allen was convicted in 2024 of conspiracy to murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. The hitman involved in the crime remains at large.
