Carol Morgan's brutal murder explored in The Real Unforgotten as hunt continues for killer

Carol Morgan was brutally murdered in 1981 in her Linslade, Bedfordshire, convenience store. The case remained unsolved for over 40 years until a two-part ITV documentary, "The Real Unforgotten," explored the details. Filmed over six years with access to police files, the documentary follows detectives investigating the murder. On August 13, 1981, Allen Morgan, Carol's husband, found her dead. He was at the cinema with his step-children when the murder occurred, and cash and cigarettes were stolen, leading to local suspicion. Allen was later found guilty of conspiring to murder her and received a life sentence. The documentary, which also highlights the hitman's escape, airs on February 18 and 25, 2024.
