Missouri reported the most fatalities (at least 12) from tornadoes. A Kansas dust storm caused a 71-vehicle pileup, killing 8. Arkansas confirmed 3 storm-related deaths and 29 injuries. Texas reported 3 deaths in dust storm car crashes. Alabama saw at least 2 deaths and widespread damage. Oklahoma reported one fatality from a vehicle accident caused by smoke from wildfires, with 170,000 acres burned. Multiple tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings were issued across several states.
