At least 26 dead as monster storm system sweeps across US south with multiple tornadoes

A massive storm system in the US South killed at least 35 people across several states. Fatalities resulted from tornadoes in Missouri (at least 12 deaths), a dust storm in Kansas (8 deaths from a 71-vehicle collision), car crashes during a dust storm in Texas (3 deaths), storm-related incidents in Arkansas (3 deaths), and storms in Alabama (2 deaths). One death occurred in Oklahoma due to a vehicle accident caused by smoke from wildfires, which burned approximately 170,000 acres. Tornadoes and severe thunderstorms were forecast for multiple states.
