Research suggests Australian government agencies could be customers of Israeli spyware firm Paragon Solutions, which sells its technology exclusively to governments. A Citizen Lab report identified two Australian IP addresses suspected of using Paragon's Graphite spyware, but it's unknown if Australians have been targeted. Paragon maintains it vets customers to ensure they operate within legal frameworks. Meta revealed in January that over 90 individuals, including journalists, were targeted via WhatsApp using Paragon's spyware.
