Banks join regulator estimating Government will miss housing targets

Banking and Payments Federation Ireland cites inefficiencies in critical infrastructure



The BPFI and Central Bank predict the Irish government will likely miss its housing targets of 41,000 units in 2025 and 43,000 in 2026, estimating around 75,000 units will be completed in that period. The BPFI suggests government risk-sharing to boost housing market finance, particularly for small to medium-sized builders.
