To combat high rates of malnutrition, the Bauchi state government has reintroduced nutrition corners and gardens in 50 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across 10 Local Government Areas (LGAs), targeting pregnant women and lactating mothers with nutrition education and agronomy skills. Supported by CASCADE, DEC, and funded by the Netherlands Government, the initiative aims to address inadequate nutrition knowledge and promote the use of locally available crops for balanced diets, with the goal of improving health outcomes for women and children.
