B.C. announces details on IVF funding program but some questions remain

Fertility coach Laura Spencer told Global News that major details still need to be finalized, including which fertility clinics will be participating.

The provincial government has revealed details of its publicly funded IVF program, allocating $68 million over two years to cover up to $19,000 per patient for one round of IVF. The program, initially announced last year, will begin accepting applications from doctors on July 2, with a three-month delay from the original start date of April 1. However, questions remain about which clinics will participate, with fertility experts noting that some details are yet to be finalized.
