Archaeologists have discovered the tomb of Thutmosis II near Luxor, Egypt, marking the first royal tomb discovery in over a century. This significant find was made by an Egyptian-British team near the Valley of the Kings. The tomb's entrance was initially found in 2022, with the full chamber uncovered recently. Notably, this discovery follows Howard Carter's famous unearthing of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922. The tomb features a simple design with remnants of inscriptions and decorations. Located in Upper Egypt along the Nile, Luxor is renowned for its historical sites, including the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's temple, Luxor Temple, and Karnak Temple.
