APC chieftain Daniel Onjeh attributes the Benue judicial crisis to a power struggle and control of state resources since Governor Alia's administration began. He criticizes Chief Judge Ikpambese's relocation of Local Government Election Petition Tribunals to Abuja as an illegal and politically motivated move to undermine Governor Alia, noting the Chief Judge did not obtain the consent of all parties, and acted inconsistently with past rulings.
