A boy is on trial for the murder of an 80-year-old man who died after an alleged attack in a Leicestershire park. The boy claims he accidentally fell on the pensioner while trying to push him to the ground to protect a girl from being punched. The boy admits to hitting the pensioner but denies using racial slurs. A girl is also charged with manslaughter, and the court heard evidence of previous incidents involving the pensioner and local youths.
