British holidaymakers hit with passport price increases with government set to hike application fees in weeks

In a move that will impact thousands of travellers, the government has confirmed it will hike the cost of renewing passports by 7 percent.

UK passport fees are set to increase by 7% on April 10th, with online adult applications rising to £94.50 and postal applications to £107. This is the third passport price hike in just over two years. The Home Office cites rising manufacturing and processing costs as the reason for the increase, while holidaymakers rush to renew passports before the new fees take effect.
