Cab can sell home of Martin ‘The Viper’ Foley if €1m tax debts not cleared in 18 months

Judge grants a stay on order until September 2026 in interests of former gangland figure’s daughter

The Criminal Assets Bureau (Cab) has been granted a well-charging order against Martin "The Viper" Foley's Dublin home due to almost €1 million in unpaid taxes. A stay of 18 months has been placed on the order to protect Foley's nine-year-old daughter. If the debt remains unpaid after this period, Cab can pursue the sale of the property. Foley, a former gangland figure, and his wife, who claims a half share in the house and fears homelessness, have been unsuccessful in resisting the order.
