Canadians will now have to pay more to vacation on popular cruise line

It's not just air travel that's getting more expensive — travellers from Canada who love cruise vacations now face higher fees.Passengers from Canada sailing with Princess Cruises now have to pay more in tips and service charges, as the Carnival Corporation-owned company recently changed its policy. In an email to us, a representative confirmed the increase started in March."Rolling out starting March 8, we will implement a US$1 (C$1.37) per guest, per day increase to the Crew Appreciation amount for guests who do not hold a Princess Premier, Princess Plus," they stated.Guests in suites now pay a daily gratuity of US$20 (C$27.36), while mini suites, cabanas, and Reserve Collection rooms carry a US$19 (C$25.99) daily charge.
