Cases of measles confirmed in Edmonton, public exposure possible in 2 locations

Edmonton is the latest Alberta city to be issued an advisory after a string of confirmed cases were reported elsewhere in the province.

Measles cases are confirmed in Edmonton, Alberta, with possible public exposure at three locations, including a Rexall pharmacy. Alberta has a total of 11 confirmed cases, with outbreaks also reported in Calgary and Fort Vermilion. Health officials urge vaccination, particularly for those born after 1970 with fewer than two doses, and advise monitoring for symptoms like cough, runny nose, and eye redness. The cases are largely attributed to vaccine hesitancy.
