Confirmed measles case in Calgary area prompts AHS public alert

The alert was issued Friday evening. A representative with AHS tells Global News that currently one person has been confirmed with a case of measles.



Alberta Health Services (AHS) issued a public alert Friday evening after confirming a measles case in the Calgary area. One infected person was in public while contagious. AHS advises those born in 1970 or later who visited affected locations to monitor for symptoms and ensure they've had two measles vaccine doses. Individuals with symptoms should stay home and call Health Link at 811.
