Clashes between Syrian security forces and Assad loyalists in Syria's coastal region have killed over 70 people, leaving some areas outside government control. The fighting, triggered by an attempted arrest near Jableh, is the worst since Assad's removal from power in December. Government forces have deployed reinforcements and imposed a curfew in Latakia and other coastal areas.
