Continental, an automotive supplier, is responding to a crisis by cutting 3,000 jobs in its R&D sector, adding to previous cuts of 14,000 in its automotive division. The aim is to reduce R&D costs to below 10% of revenue by 2025. Most cuts will occur in Germany, with closures at Nuremberg and job reductions in subsidiaries Elektrobit and Continental Engineering Services.
