Doctor ‘stabbed by fellow surgeon’ felt intestines bulging out, trial told

Surgeon Graeme Perks testified he was stabbed in the abdomen by an intruder outside his home in Halam, Nottinghamshire in January 2021, feeling his intestines bulging out. He suffered life-threatening injuries to his liver, intestines and pancreas. Perks denies picking up a crowbar before the stabbing, but his DNA was found on one. A fellow plastic surgeon is on trial, but has chosen not to attend or have legal representation.
