Donegal Castle is hosting a free talk on Iníon Dubh, also known as the 'Dark Daughter' of Tír Chonaill, on Saturday, March 8th at 2pm to celebrate International Women's Day. Iníon Dubh, born in 1520 and mother to Aodh Ruadh Ó Domhnaill II and Rory, 1st Earl of Tyrconnell, was a significant figure in the final years of Gaelic Ulster. The event is part of a series of talks and tours by the Office of Public Works (OPW) to recognize remarkable women and their contributions.
