Ties with Tokyo may be on the mend but could be undone by Japan’s view of its neighbour, ambassador Wu Jianghao says.
China's ambassador to Japan, Wu Jianghao, warned Tokyo against using improved relations with Beijing as a hedge against uncertainty in its relationship with Washington, stating that such actions undermine the foundation of China-Japan relations. He emphasized that Sino-Japanese relations and Japan-US relations should not be seen as antagonistic. He also said that the US-Japan alliance shouldn't be used to contain China.
