Edmonton will end its curbside Christmas tree collection program next winter, citing dwindling usage and cost savings. Residents will need to drop off trees at recycling depots, Eco Stations, or the Edmonton Waste Management Centre instead. The city has been collecting trees curbside since 1990, but participation has decreased significantly, with only 2.4% of homes using the service this year.
