EU slaps more sanctions on Russia ahead of Ukraine war’s third anniversary

The move comes with the Europeans sidelined from US-led talks to end the war.

The sanctions include travel bans, asset freezes, and trade restrictions, targeting Russia's "shadow fleet" used to bypass sanctions. The EU's action comes as they are sidelined from US-led peace talks, while Ukraine refuses to accept any US-Russia peace deal without its participation.
