FCCPC sues MultiChoice for ignoring price hike suspension order

The FCCPC sued MultiChoice Nigeria and CEO John Ugbe for defying a February 27th order to suspend planned DStv and GOtv price increases, which took effect March 1st. The charges include obstructing the investigation, impeding the inquiry, and misleading the commission. The FCCPC is considering further enforcement measures. MultiChoice attributed the price hike to rising costs.
