François Legault s’est entretenu avec Mark Carney sur des «enjeux vitaux pour le Québec»

Eau, langue française, culture et gestion d’offres seront exclus des négociations avec les États-Unis, assure Carney.

Prime Minister Mark Carney met with Quebec Premier François Legault in Montreal to discuss upcoming negotiations with the United States. Key issues for Quebec, including protection of its economy, reduction of temporary immigration, water, the French language, culture, and supply management, were raised as non-negotiable. Carney aims to have a conversation with President Trump soon. Legault seeks a strong response to trade disputes, similar to Trudeau's approach, and expects Carney to address Quebec's demands for promised funding and increased powers in immigration and culture. The meeting also included Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Culture and Canadian Identity.
