French fugitive whose escape left two officers dead extradited from Romania

Mohamed Amra, a French fugitive known as "The Fly," was extradited from Romania to France following his arrest in Bucharest. Amra, wanted for charges including murder and drug trafficking, had escaped custody last year, resulting in the deaths of two guards. His arrest ended a nine-month international manhunt, with Interpol's assistance. Amra was identified despite dyeing his hair red. French President Emmanuel Macron praised the operation. Twenty-five individuals were detained in connection with his escape.
