Galway has the third highest commercial vacancy rate in Ireland at 18.8% in December 2024, above the national average of 14.5%. Tuam has the highest vacancy rate in the county at almost 25%, while Loughrea has the lowest at 19%. Sligo has the highest commercial vacancy rate nationally at 20.6%, and Meath has the lowest at just under 10%.
