Government to toughen laws that allow people to buy suicide drugs online

Sarah Sackman said laws are in place which stop people encouraging or assisting suicide, but added the Government would introduce more restrictions.

This follows concerns raised after a 21-year-old's death linked to online forums advertising lethal drugs. The move builds on existing laws against encouraging or assisting suicide and ongoing efforts to prevent the sale of such substances, spurred by cases like that of Canadian chef Kenneth Law.
