Following demolition of their Ilaje community in Lagos, over 800 displaced Ebonyi indigenes were repatriated to Ebonyi State by the state government. The returnees, who lost their homes and livelihoods, expressed gratitude but appealed for assistance to rebuild their lives, citing insufficient notice for eviction and theft during the demolition.
