Huge 7.7 magnitude earthquake hits Bangkok, DESTROYING apartment block and forcing tourists to flee hotels as high

The US Geological Survey and Germany 's GFZ centre for geosciences said the incident was at a shallow 6.2 miles, with an epicentre in Myanmar.



A 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar and Thailand, causing building collapses, damage to infrastructure, and prompting evacuations in Bangkok. A state of emergency was declared, and casualties are feared. A second quake with a magnitude of 6.4 shook the area 12 minutes later.
