Huge 7.7 magnitude earthquake hits Bangkok, DESTROYING apartment block and forcing tourists to flee hotels as 'mass casualty' warning is declared

The US Geological Survey and Germany 's GFZ centre for geosciences said the incident was at a shallow 6.2 miles, with an epicentre in Myanmar.



A 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit Myanmar and Thailand, destroying buildings in Bangkok and Myanmar. A 'mass casualty' warning was declared, with residents and tourists fleeing buildings in panic. A second quake, with a magnitude of 6.4, shook the area 12 minutes later.
