The Imo State Police Command rescued two children and arrested two individuals suspected of child trafficking. The first child was abducted on February 1, 2025, and rescued after the suspect claimed the child was hers but later admitted to purchasing them from a trafficking syndicate for ₦1.8 million. The second child was rescued on February 21, 2025, during a stop-and-search operation. The suspect, Eze Chika, was found with the child, and further investigations revealed possible links to a larger trafficking network, with ongoing efforts to identify the child’s biological parents.
