A former Facebook executive claims the Irish government gave Sheryl Sandberg a "special phone" in 2008, providing direct access to government officials to resolve issues after Facebook chose Dublin as its European headquarters. The executive's memoir also alleges that former Taoiseach Enda Kenny sought Facebook's help in bolstering the credibility of Irish data regulators and secured additional time under the "double Irish" tax regime for tech companies.
