Jalisco mandates music and tech classrooms in all public schools by 2027

Jalisco has launched the "Jalisco con Estrella" program to prioritize music and technology education in public schools. By 2027, all 7,200 public schools in the state will be equipped with music and technology classrooms, featuring instruments and computers. The program, with an initial budget of 5 billion pesos (US $245 million), aims to modernize and renovate schools, distribute musical instruments, and provide LEGO RobotiX kits to enhance STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) skills. Governor Pablo Lemus emphasized the program's goal of setting an example for national education.
