At Newry Crown Court on Friday Judge Paul Ramsey granted an adjournment application on medical grounds.
The trial of Jeffrey Donaldson, who has pleaded not guilty to 18 alleged offenses, and his wife Eleanor Donaldson on charges relating to alleged historical sex offenses has been delayed after a judge ruled Mrs. Donaldson unfit to stand trial on medical grounds. Mrs. Donaldson, who faces charges of aiding and abetting and denies them, was deemed unfit by a doctor, leading to the adjournment application granted at Newry Crown Court.
