On the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Korea pledged to deepen ties with Nigeria, focusing on economic cooperation, security, and people-to-people exchanges. Bilateral trade increased by 38.6% to over $2.2 billion in 2024, with Nigeria being Korea's key African trade and investment partner. Both countries are working to finalize agreements on double taxation avoidance and trade/investment promotion. Korea aims to enhance security collaboration, particularly in maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea.
