The Munich public prosecutor's office has charged five climate activists from the former group "Letzte Generation" (Last Generation) with forming a criminal organization. The charges stem from the group's activities since 2024, including raising 1.4 million euros, allegedly used for committing crimes. The activists face different roles within the alleged organization. The "Letzte Generation" has since dissolved and split into two new groups, with other related legal proceedings ongoing elsewhere in Germany, while Berlin authorities had concluded the group could not be classified as a criminal organization.
