Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy announced a program of events for the 80th anniversary of VE Day, urging the next generation to "carry the torch" of remembrance and strive for peace. The program includes a Westminster Abbey service, a military procession, a National Theatre film, an augmented reality experience, resources for schools, and a public call for wartime letters. Playwright James Graham's film, "The Next Morning," will focus on young people after the war.
