Armed support unit and garda helicopter surrounded David McNamara’s house during his arrest
A 24-year-old Dublin man, David McNamara, was sentenced to five years in prison for attacking two former girlfriends, coercive control, threatening a taxi driver with a knife, and hijacking his taxi. His arrest required armed support and a helicopter. He was also found to be in possession of cocaine and heroin.
