Man, 27, forgets an entire YEAR of his life due to cancer side effect

Zachary Schimmel from New York realized something wasn't quite right when he suffered a fall at a friend's house and on the way to hospital in an ambulance, he had multiple seizures.



A 27-year-old man named Zachary Schimmel lost all memory of an entire year of his life due to a rare brain cancer called pineal parenchymal tumors of intermediate differentiation (PPTID). He underwent 12 brain surgeries in one month and months of chemotherapy, resulting in memory loss and blindness due to optic nerve damage. He was declared cancer-free in April 2022.
