Man guilty of £1.38m watch heist that saw jewellery store manager take own life

A man has been found guilty of a £1.38 million watch heist at a jewellery store in Richmond, which led to the store manager, Oliver White, taking his own life the following day. Mannix Pedro, 37, was closely involved in planning and executing the robbery at 247 Kettles on May 25, 2022. Over 70 high-value watches were stolen, none of which have been recovered or insured. A jury at Woolwich Crown Court found Pedro guilty by a majority verdict of 10 to 1 after more than 23 hours of deliberation.
